Drought visit to West Coast farms

Today (24 March 2017), Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, will visit farms affected by the drought.

The programme will start at Voelvlei Dam, where the Western Cape Department of Agriculture is supporting the National Government’s ongoing maintenance to the canal system to stem water losses. Following this site inspection, Minister Winde will visit farmers along the West Coast to assess the impact of the drought on their operations.
