Media Alert:Multilingual Job-Hunting Booklets to be presented to Minister Marais

20 February 2017

To celebrate International Mother Language Day tomorrow, 21 February 2017, Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Anroux Marais will receive multilingual booklets on job-hunting published by Die Stigting vir Bemagtiging deur Afrikaans (SBA).

The booklet is aimed at empowering those who are looking for employment as it is available in all three official languages. Dr Niel Le Roux, the SBA CEO and Member of the Western Cape Language Committee, distributed the booklet in a Committee meeting last year. He then requested the department to assist in distributing more copies of the booklets through our information centres such as libraries, archives and museums for a wider spread.

Together with Marlene Le Roux, CEO of the Artscape, Dr Le Roux will officially hand-over the multilingual booklets to Minister Marais and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport as the custodians of multilingualism and knowledge centres in the province.
