16 Days of Activism - Mitchells Plain fathers & daughters to join MEC Fritz

7 December 2016

Tomorrow, as part of our 16 Days of Activism Against Women & Child Abuse campaign, the Western Cape MEC for Social Development, Albert Fritz, will host fathers and their daughters for an anti-violence dialogue session in Mitchells Plain.

The aim is to raise awareness, share stories and exchange views on how we can strengthen the role of men and fathers in our homes and communities.

The Western Cape Government seeks to reach as many as possible with our message calling for people to “SPEAK OUT”, encouraging victims to move from “SILENCE TO STRENGTH”.

Fathers and men play a critical role in this regard, and the evening will see Minister and other fathers share their experiences of raising children during difficult times and/or in violent communities with many social ills. Minister Fritz will be joined by a team of social workers.

There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
