Drakenstein & Khayelitsha Communities to Receive Chess Sets from Minister Marais

Tomorrow, 26 May 2016, Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Anroux Marais will hand over chess sets to the Paarl and Khayelitsha communities at their local libraries.

The handover forms part of the department’s plan to encourage every library in the Western Cape to provide youth with access to the game of chess in order to contribute to mass participation, talent identification and positive youth development.
