Oudtshoorn Administration Continues Unabated

21 September 2015

Minister Anton Bredell has noted the comments and speculation around Oudtshoorn and comments as follows:

The department is currently investigating the events that transpired on Friday.

For now, the facts are that the current administration of Oudtshoorn, and the intervention and support package that carries the full support of national and provincial government, continues unaffected under the administration team.

We are extremely disappointed at the continued political games being played in Oudtshoorn. These efforts are hampering the work being done to fix Oudtshoorn and can only benefit some individuals, while wreaking further havoc on the broader community the provincial government is trying to help.
