Western Cape Bus Indaba to Address Industry Issues

Donald Grant, Minister of Transport and Public Works will be the keynote speaker at the Western Cape Bus Indaba at the Belmont Square Conference Centre in Rondebosch on Monday, 14 September 2015.

The Indaba will be hosted by the Southern Africa Bus Operators Association (SABOA).

The aim of the Indaba is to inform operators of the latest developments in terms of a wide spectrum of issues with reference to the bus industry.

Minister Grant will speak about the Department of Transport and Public Works’ public transport developments in the Western Cape. This will include the George Integrated Public Transport Network (GIPTN), which is the Western Cape Government’s flagship public transport improvement project, and the Provincial Public Transport Institutional Framework (PPTIF), which aims to support municipalities in the province to develop improved public and non-motorised transport networks.

The Department remains committed to working with the Western Cape bus industry in its common goal to provide safe and reliable public transport services for the citizens in the province.
