Media Alert: Department and Partners to Boost Western Cape Cyclists

25 February 2014

The Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport Dr Ivan Meyer and dignitaries from Nedbank and the Sports Trust will hand over bicycles to about 140 Western Cape learners who will be participating in the 2014 Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour at a ceremony in Mitchells Plain on Wednesday, 26 February 2014.

The handover is part of the Nedbank Sports Trust Development Cycling Programme, a partnership between Nedbank and the Sports Trust, supported by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS).

By supporting development cyclists to participate in events like this, the Nedbank Sports Trust Development Cycling Programme is creating conditions for the cycling champions of the future to emerge. DCAS looks forward to continuing to contribute to the long-term success of this partnership to support cycling development in the Western Cape.

Media are invited to attend.
