Cultural Affairs and Sport Exchange with Russia

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) is committed to strengthening its partnership with Russia as the two parties collaborate in the promotion and development of cultural affairs, sport and recreation. On Tuesday, 5 November 2013, DCAS representatives met with Russian Vice Consul-General Mr Vladimir Melnikov.

DCAS Chief Director of Sport and Recreation Adv. Lyndon Bouah and Director of Arts and Culture Ms Jane Moleleki did presentations on sport and cultural affairs in the Western Cape.

Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport Dr Ivan Meyer is expected to engage in further discussions to build mutually beneficial partnerships in these sectors.
