Media Alert: Minister Winde to Open Africa's Greenest Hotel

Alan Winde, Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, will officially open Africa’s greenest hotel, Hotel Verde, on Tuesday, 27 August 2013.

 

The hotel is one of the Western Cape Government’s 110% Green flagship projects.

 

Featuring occupancy sensors in all rooms and an electric shuttle service to the Cape Town International Airport, the hotel has employed a series of innovative measures to ensure it is environmentally friendly.
