Media Alert: Minister Alan Winde Attends School Entrepreneurship Conference

Alan Winde, Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, will announce one of South Africa’s future entrepreneurial stars at the Schools Entrepreneurship Conference.

 

Co-funded by the Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism, more than 200 pupils from schools in Nyanga, Mitchells Plain, Philippi and Manenberg have attended the five-day event which was held at the South Peninsula High School.

 

Pupils will pitch their business ideas to a group of leading business experts and the participant with the best idea wins a cash prize to fund their venture.

 

Minister Winde will speak to the pupils about the importance of entrepreneurship and announce the winner of the business pitching session.
