Media Alert: MEC of Health encourages people to donate kidneys

Renal failure is a serious condition, affecting large numbers of people. Some may die while waiting to undergo dialysis and hospitals have long waiting lists for kidney transplants, but there is a shortage of donors.

Members of the media are invited to join Western Cape Minister of Health Dr Nomafrench Mbombo together with Prof. Razeen Davids, a Nephrologist at Tygerberg Hospital who are on a drive to encourage people to become organ, and particularly, kidney donors.
