EMS Alert: Suspected Gas Leak in Epping

Western Cape Government Health's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Local Fire and Rescue Cape Town worked together on a gas leak call earlier today.

At 14:43 in Epping 2 - EMS rescue and ambulance responded to a suspected gas leak at a furniture factory in Epping 2. It is believed that the company does not work with gas and after being tested by the local fire and rescue crew, it was found that there was no gas substances present in the factory, confirming the scene safe. EMS Paramedics treated eight adult female patients. They complained of tight chests and nausea. Oxygen was administered to patients by paramedics on the scene. They were then transported by EMS ambulance to N1 City Hospital. The call was completed at 15:50.
