New high school in Kraaifontein

The Kraaifontein High School was one of several Western Cape schools built by Department of Transport and Public Works to have opened its doors earlier this month.

The school has space for up to 1 110 learners. Teaching facilities comprise:

  • 30 standard classrooms,
  • two Grade R classrooms,
  • three specialised classrooms,
  • two multipurpose classrooms, and
  • two science laboratories.

The school also has:

  • a hall,
  • an administrative building,
  • and a sports field.

The school incorporates “water-wise” features such as borehole facilities and a tank farm; water-wise sanitary fittings; and a water restrictor on the water main line.
