Western Cape Tri-Annual Agricultural Summit

The Western Cape Department of Agriculture will host the first Tri-annual Western Cape Agriculture Summit in Stellenbosch. Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille, will be the guest speaker on the 22nd.

The summit will afford stakeholders in both the private and public sector an opportunity to have structured engagements around the identified interventions and prioritised action plans for the future sustainability and profitability of the sector.

The desired outcome is to:

• Support 10% agricultural growth over the next ten years.

• Maintain our global export market position.

• Create an enabling environment for business to thrive in rural areas.

• Ensure that at least 60% of our land reform projects are sustainable.
