2 August 2022

Beneficiaries of the De Hoop housing development in Malmesbury are set to get the keys to their new homes tomorrow from Western Cape Minister of Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers.

The De Hoop housing project is an Integrated Residential Development Project (IRDP) and is expected to create in excess of 395 housing opportunities, for beneficiaries in the Swartland Municipality.  Construction of phase 1 began in 2021 and has delivered 100 houses. A portion of forty (40) units, upon completion of the project, will be designated to military veterans and those living with medically certified disabilities.

Minister Simmers said: “I look forward to this historic occasion, to hand over houses to deserving beneficiaries and share in their joyous moment. It is also reassuring to note the progress this project continues to make, keeping in line with the acceleration of delivering sustainable human settlements.”
