Media Alert: Minister Madikizela to Hold a Public Meeting in Middelpos, Saldanha

Today, on 12 April 2011, the Minister of Human Settlements, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will be hosting a public meeting in Middelpos, Saldanha Bay.

Minister Madikizela is expected to focus on community grievances regarding housing delivery in the area. The community has some problems with the information the Saldanha Bay Municipality has been giving them, and the Minister wishes to set the record straight.

The Minister has tried several times to set up a meeting in the area with the Municipality and the community, yet has been blocked repeatedly by the Municipality. The Municipality has also shown no co-operation in making a suitable venue available and, consequently, the public meeting will be held outside the Middelpos Community Hall.
