Minister Madikizela To Hand Over Houses in Saron, Drakenstein

Today, Wednesday 20 February 2019,  Western Cape Human Settlements Minister, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will hand over 27 houses in Saron, north of Wellington in the Drakenstein municipal area.

The 27 Saron Individual Subsidy programme was adopted by the Department of Human Settlements as a pilot project which forms part of the Municipal Integrated Development Plan (IDP). It was regarded as the best practical option for a housing development of this nature to be implemented in this manner.

The project is also aimed at addressing unsuitable living conditions of approved housing beneficiaries living in informal structures in Saron.

Minister Madikizela will be accompanied by Drakenstein Mayor, Conrad Poole during the handover.
