Ministers Sisulu and Madikizela to visit Hout Bay fire victims

Today, Tuesday 14 March 2017, National Minister of Human Settlements Lindiwe Sisulu, Deputy Minister Zoe Kota-Fredericks and Western Cape Human Settlements Minister, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will visit Hout Bay following the tragic fire which left thousands of people homeless.

The Ministers will be joined by City of Cape Town officials who have been working around the clock, assisting victims since the fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday. The team will assess the damage on site before visiting displaced victims at various community halls in the area.

There will be opportunities to interview the delegation on future plans to prevent such tragedies from ever happening again in our communities.
