Beaufort West local office to be launched by Minister Albert Fritz

Tomorrow, Western Cape Social Development MEC Adv. Albert Fritz, will launch the department’s Beaufort West local office.

This office continues the expansion and localization of our network of offices across the province. The office also services the surrounding rural communities, such as Murraysburg, and brings critical social work services closer to communities.

DSD local offices provide key services, including child protection, counselling and therapeutic interventions for families. Since 2009, we have restructured from having head office and 16 district offices, to one head office, 6 regional offices and 40 local offices across the province.

Our key social partners will join us at the launch, including the South African Police Services and key NGOs

There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
