16 Days of Activism: MEC to take ECD health & well-being campaign to Ceres

1 December 2017

Tomorrow, in support of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women, the MEC Albert Fritz will join the Oppie Koppie Creche and the Vuya Foundation for a Christmas Party for 80 local children.

During these 16 Days of Activism, the MEC will use every opportunity to raise awareness on issues of child safety. It is important for all stakeholders in child-care to play a part in creating safe spaces for children.

As part of his ongoing Early Childhood Development (ECD) campaign, the Minister will donate 80 dental and hygiene packs for the children. This is part of a broader hygiene and oral health campaign being driven by the MEC at our registered ECD centres.

The good health and well-being of children at ECD facilities is a key priority, as it impacts of the school readiness and life chances of children in later years.

There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.

Time: 10:30 am (Tomorrow)

Venue: No. 1 Waboom Laan, Prince Alfred’s Hamlet, Ceres
