Foetal Alcohol Syndrome research findings to be revealed by DSD and FARR

The findings into a 3 year study into the prevalence of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) in the West Coast region will be revealed by Minister Fritz and Ms. Leana Olivier, the CEO of the Foundation for Alcohol Related Research (FARR).

The Western Cape Department of Social Development commissioned FARR to conduct the FASD research, awareness and prevention project in 2013 in the Saldanha Bay municipal district. The findings will form the basis for the departments continued focus on addressing drug and alcohol abuse through an evidence-based approach.

There will an opportunity for interviews and photos.
