Minister, Youth Make Sandwiches for the Needy

Western Cape Minister of Social Development Albert Fritz joined high school learners from Malmesbury in making and distributing sandwiches to the primary school learners in the community.

The Valley Deli project was initiated by high school learners of Goedgedacht Farm, where the learners volunteer their time by preparing and distributing sandwiches for primary school learners at 05:00 every morning. In this way, they don’t start the day on an empty stomach.

In acknowledgement and support of this wonderful and unselfish initiative by young people, the minister joined them in preparing the daily sandwiches.
