Minister Signs Agreement with Sea Harvest in Saldanha

19 July 2013

Western Cape Minister of Social Development Albert Fritz signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sea Harvest in Saldanha on 16 July 2013. This agreement will see a basket of social welfare services being made available to the staff and their families, who in turn make up part of the greater Saldanha community.

Services have already been rolled out and we have seen a huge demand for assistance with regard to substance abuse services, statutory services, child neglect, and domestic problems.

We welcome the employer’s commitment to the total well-being of their staff and look forward to increased social welfare services in this vulnerable community.

The Department of Social Development and Sea Harvest is bringing services to the Saldanha community, Better Together.
