MEDIA ALERT: NEW ASHBURY LIBRARY TO BE OPENED BY MINISTER MARAIS

Tomorrow, 1 June 2017, the Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Anroux Marais, will officially open the new Ashbury Library in Montagu.

This facility will go a long way to promoting a culture of reading, lifelong learning and access to information in this community.

The Western Cape Government will have spent R98 million on library infrastructure by the end of the 2017/18 financial year.

With the largest library network in South Africa, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) is committed to providing 385 library service points in the Western Cape by 2020.
