Media Alert: Walking On Waves Highlights The Therapeutic Benefits Of Surfing

Tomorrow, 31 January 2017, Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Anroux Marais will visit Walking on Waves in Muizenberg.

Founded by William Leadbutter, Walking on Waves is an outreach programme which uses surfing as a form of therapy for people living with severe disabilities. The programme also provides surfing lessons to vulnerable children across the Cape Peninsula.

At the first event of the year, Walking on Waves will treat three children from Iris House Children's Hospice tomorrow. Minister Marais will be there for a first-hand experience of the therapeutic benefits of surfing.
