The spectacular event took place on Monday and Tuesday, 7 and 8 December 2015. It was hosted by the Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) in partnership with Groote Schuur High School.

Guests could sit back, relax and watch the wonderful performances  in City Nirvana, which is a fictitious and prestigious nightspot in Kwa-Zulu Natal. It vibrated against the interactive backdrop of humour, as well as energetic and artistic interpretations, with a play on the melodramatic. The production was written and produced by Beulah Kleinveldt and choreographed by Dance Director Charles Maema.

Minister Marais thanked facilitators and key persons  for showcasing the talent emerging from the Western Cape MOD Programme. Minister Marais said, “The City Nirvana Cabaret holistically expressed through the arts that we are better together and that our beauty lies in our diversity.”

Let us encourage our children to make use of the opportunities offered by the MOD programme and develop their artistic talents BETTER TOGETHER.
