Prof. Andre Odendaal Honoured for Long Service to Sport

On Saturday, 25 July 2015 the Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) and the Western Cape Provincial Sport Confederation honoured Prof. Andre Odendaal for serving as Chairperson of the Sport Legends Adjudication Committee over the last ten years. He was also acknowledged for many years of work as a sport historian.

The Sport Legends awards is held annually to honour those sport legends, heroes and icons who made a significant contribution to the development, transformation and growth of sport in the Western Cape and in South Africa as a whole.
