Media Alert: Western Cape Hosts Provincial Sport Awards

On Friday, 14 March 2014, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport Dr Ivan Meyer and Chairperson of the Western Cape Sport Confederation Goliath Munro will host the 2013/14 Western Cape Sport Awards.

This annual event honours the province’s top sportsmen and -women in more than 22 categories. This year, the likes of Springbok and Western Province rugby star Eben Etzebeth, SA u/19 and Boland netball player Mari-Lena Joubert and paralympic athletes Ilse Hayes and Hilton Langenhoven are in the running for an award.

Media are invited to attend. There will be opportunities for photos and interviews.

Time: Registration starts at 17:30; the event starts at 19:00.
