Minister Schäfer wishes teachers the best as they return to schools

Western Cape Minister of Education, Debbie Schäfer, has wished teachers returning to school today all the best for the 2021 school year.

Minister Schäfer said:

“Today is the first day back at school for the majority of our teachers, and I would like to welcome them all back most warmly to the start of our new academic year. We have all been through a lot last year, and it is not going to be easy, but I want to wish you all the best. Thank you for the work that you will do to ensure that our learners catch up the vast amounts of work that were lost last year. And of course also to send a message of support and condolence to all those who have lost friends, colleagues and loved ones during this time.”
