Media alert: Details regarding NSC results announcement in the Western Cape

Please note the following in preparation for the release of the 2019 NSC results.

7 January 2020:

• Following the Ministerial announcement of the results by the National Minister at 18h00, the Western Cape Ministry for Education will be releasing a statement on the Provincial results. This will be at approximately 19H00 tomorrow evening.

8 January 2020

• Minister Schafer will be visiting Paarl Gimnasium HS at 12h00 for the release of the candidate and school results. This will be a media opportunity.
• Minister Schafer will release a statement on the performance of our Education Districts and individual school results.

16 January 2020:

• Minister Debbie Schäfer and the Western Cape Education Department will be celebrating the Western Cape’s top achievers in the 2019 National Senior Certificate Examinations at the official premises of the Premier (Leeuwenhof) on Thursday, 16 January 2020 at 10h00. Media who would like to attend are to please send the names and ID numbers of the journalists/videographers and photographers to Kerry.Mauchline@westerncape.gov.za

Individual school result queries (From Wednesday 12h00 onwards - ie. Pass rates of individual schools) are to be sent to Unathi.Booi@westerncape.gov.za
