New Western Cape Premier to Host Press Conference
The new Premier of the Western Cape will tomorrow, Wednesday 6 May 2009, be sworn in by the Acting Judge President of the Western Cape High Court, Honourable Justice Janet Traverso, who will also preside over the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. All Members of the Provincial Parliament will also take their oath/affirmation of office.
Proceedings start at 11H00 in the Provincial Legislature of the Western Cape, 15 Wale Street, Cape Town. Media are advised to arrive early.
The newly-elected Premier will, immediately after being sworn in, host a press conference which all media are welcome to attend.
