Premier Zille hosts Western Cape Service Excellence Awards 2018

This evening, Tuesday, 4 December 2018, Premier Helen Zille will host the 5^th annual Western Cape Service Excellence Awards.

The Awards, which started in 2014, have always had the clear purpose of helping to entrench professionalism within the Public Service through the recognition and rewarding of excellence and performance by public servants who have gone beyond the call of duty.

A total of eight (8) categories are being contested tonight, showcasing individual, team and departmental excellence for leadership, ethics, implemented programme, Batho Pele principles, as well as innovation in the public service.

The 2018 Service Excellence Awards received a record number of nominations: 86 in total. The shortlisted finalists, including the winners to be announced tonight, are testament to the dedication, competence, responsiveness and care demonstrated by the Western Cape Government employees.

There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
