Manenberg community action plan to be signed today

Today, 27 November 2018, the Manenberg Community Action Plan (CAP) will be signed by Premier Helen Zille, Mayor Dan Plato and the Manenberg Community Steercom.

The CAP document represents an agreement between provincial government, City and community partners on how best to effect a transformative urban upgrade in Manenberg. The upgrade includes a 594-bed Regional Hospital, a new School of Skills, upgrades to several schools, safe promenades, lighting, parks and community facilities.

The ultimate vision is to create a Youth Lifestyle Campus (YLC) in Manenberg, spanning some three dozen City blocks.

The signing ceremony takes place as follows:
