Media Alert: Premier Zille to Attend District Six Phase 3 Sod-turning Ceremony

On Saturday 17 May 2014, Premier Helen Zille will attend the sod-turning ceremony for the initiation of Phase 3 of the District Six Redevelopment Project with National Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform, Mr Gugile Nkwinti, Minister of Higher Education, Dr Blade Nzimande, and Minister of Public Works, Mr Thulas Nxesi.

The sod-turning ceremony signals the start of construction on land, which is being handed back to the District Six community by the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) as part of the District Six restitution process.
