Cape business people and CEOs to join MEC Fritz at Youth Business Expo

On Monday, Minister Fritz will be joined by 10 top business people and captains of industry in touring the stands of 25 young entrepreneurs from across the province who will showcase their businesses at the Human Rights Day Business Expo and Family Day.

This will be hosted by the Department of Social Development in partnership with the Community Chest.

The 25 youth entrepreneurs are part of a larger group of 61 young people who graduated from the Business Incubation Programme (BIP). BIP specifically targeted poor youth, who are not in employment, education or training (NEETs).

These particular 25 young entrepreneurs have gone on to start their own small business.

The rest of the day will be a family fun day with entertainment and other activities. This will also allow the youth an opportunity to trade their services and goods on the day.

There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.

Time:   10:30am – 11:30am (business expo tour)

            11:30am – 15:00pm (expo and fun day)
