Western Cape Government to Launch First 1000 Days Campaign

Tomorrow, the Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Adv. Albert Fritz, the Western Cape Minister of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, and the Western Cape Minister of Education, Ms Debbie Schäfer, will launch the Western Cape Government’s First 1000 Days project which forms part of the province’s strategic goals for the next five years.

The campaign is a holistic and integrated Western Cape government programme promoting the well-being of mothers and their babies as well as the healthy development of infants in communities across the province.

This programme is key to the Department of Health’s vision for health in the province which seeks to promote wellness.

The Ministers will showcase the campaign’s newly branded taxi vehicles as well as distribute promotional material for the campaign to members of the public.
