Department to conduct door-to-door and hold open day in Milnerton

As part of continued 16 Days of Activism activities, the Western Cape Department of Social Development (DSD) will tomorrow conduct a door-to-door campaign in the community of Phoenix, which will culminate in an open day at the Milnerton Police Station.

The Department’s Metro North Regional Office and the Victim Empowerment Programme (VEP) will lead the door-to-door through the streets of Phoenix to raise awareness about DSD services for victims of abuse and violence.

The department will also have a stand at the Milnerton Police Station, to which DSD will officially hand over the VEP services directory to the SAPS station commander.

There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.

Date: 09 December 2015

Time: Door-to-door to begin at 09:00am, and VEP services directory to be handed over at Minerton SAPS at 10:00am.

Venue: Meet at School Street play park in Phoenix for the door-to-door, and at Milnerton SAPS on Koeberg Road for the VEP directory handover.
