The Western Cape Department of Agriculture offers previously disadvantaged individuals from the wine, cellar and cheese making industries the exiting opportunity to gain experience in Burgundy, France by applying for the Burgundy Exchange Programme.
Wine and Cellar participants will acquire experience in viticulture and oenology, wine processing techniques and wine chemistry. Individuals with cellar-worker experience currently working in a vineyard are also welcom to apply.
Participants in the cheese industry will acquire experience in reference to the art of cheese making.
