Talented young chefs in cooking challenge at Ministry First Thursday

5 July 2017

The Western Cape’s talented young chefs-in-training will challenge each other to a cook-off at the Ministry of Economic Opportunities this First Thursday.

Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, said the Ministry had partnered with the Western Cape Fine Foods Initiative (WCFFI)  for First Thursday this month.

Students from the Capsicum Chef School  and the False Bay College will showcase their talents making meals and mocktails using the products of the members of the WCFFI.

“We’re excited to have the WCFFI on board. Their members have also made their high-quality produce available for the cook-off. It is going to be an excellent showcase of talent to see the young chefs of Capsicum Chef School and the False Bay College in action.”

All members of the public are encouraged to attend.
