Murderers of Innocent Children will be Hunted, Caught and Brought to Justice

24 October 2009
The MEC for Community Safety, Adv. Lennit Max, has expressed his appreciation that the alleged murderer and rapist of a seven (7) year old girl from Sir Lowrys Pass have been arrested on Sunday morning by the police.

Max also praised the work of the police who have successfully followed up all leads and brought about a speedy arrest.

Max also expressed his sympathies to the girl's family. He added that it is a great concern that the dangers and threats to our children mostly lurk in their own homes.

These threats mostly come from the very persons whom our children mostly trust, their family members.

Max appeal to all parents and caregivers to ensure that they always know where their children are.

Parents should secure a home environment that is safe and comfortable for their children.

Parents, families, neighbours and friends must become the caretakers of each other's children. Such good practices will testify of the calibre, heart and spirit of a good and caring community.

Max said that perpetrators must know that any act of crime against children will never be tolerated and those alleged of such callous deeds will be relentlessly hunted down and brought to justice.
