Clampdown on Traffic Offenders, especially Drunk Drivers, to be Maintained

8 November 2009
The Integrated Summer Traffic Law Enforcement Programme is closing the gate on all transgressors of the roads. This clampdown will be maintained throughout the Festive Season, said the MEC for Community Safety, Adv. Lennit Max.

He reiterated that no mercy will be given nor shown to transgressors of the road safety laws.

Max responded on the 28 drunken drivers arrested by law enforcement at the N2 Traffic Satellite station near Cape Town International on Friday (6 November 2009) during an integrated operation by Provincial Traffic, assisted by the Police and Metro Law Enforcement.
