Minister Fritz to honour Chrysalis graduates

Tomorrow, the Minister of Community Safety, Albert Fritz, will give the keynote speech and honour graduates at the Chrysalis Youth Academy graduation.

During this course, students received training in Office Administration, Computer literacy, Sports leadership, Basic Cookery, Public Safety, Peace Officers Training, Youth Development, Welding and Electrical Circuitry as well as Fire Fighting. Students further developed important life skills to deepen their resilience.

Students come from across the Western Cape, including Khayelitsha, Mitchells Plain, Hanover Park, Plettenberg Bay, George, Mossel Bay, Beaufort West, Leeu Gamka, Vredendal, Saldanha and Worcester among many others. Approximately 80% were unemployed when they joined the Academy in January 2019.

Venue: Chrysalis Academy, Porter Estate, Tokai
