Minister Plato to Host West Coast Safety Summit

On Friday, 16 March 2012, Dan Plato, the Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, together with the West Coast District Municipality, will host a Safety Summit in Picketberg on the West Coast.

Representatives from the Criminal Justice System will be present, as well as representatives from various community organisations and local and provincial government departments.

The Safety Summit will provide an important opportunity for the residents of the West Coast to raise concerns regarding the criminal justice system and to workshop ways in which to make their communities safer in a holistic manner.
