Minister Plato to Kickstart the 2012 Easter Traffic Operations

3 April 2012

On Wednesday, 4 April 2012, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, will be initiating the Western Cape Easter Traffic Law Enforcement and Road Safety Operations by handing over the keys to the Traffic Law Enforcement Patrol Vehicles.

Minister Plato will also be engaging with motorists about road safety and will launch the colour-coded sticker operation by placing the first sticker on a public transport vehicle, thereby notifying traffic officers at future roadblocks what has already been checked.

Kenny Africa, Provincial Traffic Chief, will provide more details about the Easter traffic blitzes and an overview of the Easter 2012 Operational Plan.
