Minister Plato takes youth safety outreach and opportunities to Paarl

15 April 2016

Tomorrow, Saturday 16 April 2016, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, together with officials from the Department of Community Safety, will engage with the youth, and those working with youth, in Paarl as part of ongoing youth focused safety outreaches.

The Departmental outreach engagements form part ongoing outreach events across the province to provide more information and the relevant requirements to communities, non-governmental organisations operating in the community as well as the religious fraternity operating in the area on how to successfully partner with the Department of Community Safety on opportunities available specifically to the youth.

The communities of Smartie Town and Chicago Town, Paarl East, as well as the greater Paarl region have the opportunity tomorrow to learn more about the partnerships and opportunities available to them, including the Youth Safety and Religious Partnership (YSRP) programme, the Chrysalis Academy and the Northlink Bursary Partnership.

There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
