Minister Plato takes youth safety outreach and opportunities to Barrydale

8 April 2016

This weekend, Friday 8 April and Saturday 9 April 2016, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, together with officials from the Department of Community Safety, will engage with the youth, and those working with youth, in Barrydale as part of ongoing youth focused safety outreaches.

The Departmental outreach engagements form part ongoing outreach events across the province to provide more information and the relevant requirements to communities, non-governmental organisations operating in the community as well as the religious fraternity operating in the area on how to successfully partner with the Department of Community Safety on opportunities available specifically to the youth.

The various opportunities to the youth and organisations in the area include the Youth Safety and Religious Partnership (YSRP) programme, information on the Chrysalis Academy and the Northlink Bursary Partnership.

There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
