Minister Plato to conduct safety oversight walkabout to Imizamo Yethu

Today, Wednesday 7 October 2015, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will conduct a safety oversight walkabout in the community of Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay.

The safety oversight walkabout will see Minister Plato, joined by the local neighbourhood watches, community policing forum and the South African Police Service (SAPS), engage with members of the community on their safety concerns. It will include discussions around the recent escalation in violence and attacks which has occurred in the community and will inform community members about the options available to them when they are unhappy about the safety service delivery they receive.
