Minister Plato Concludes Women’s Month Celebrations in West Coast

Tomorrow, Friday 29 August 2014, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will conclude the Department of Community Safety’s Women’s Month celebratory events in the West Coast.

During the month of August, Minister Plato has been visiting different communities throughout the province to honour women from the different areas, to highlight women’s safety and to pledge men’s responsibilities in the fight against violence against women.

Minister Plato will be visiting Paternoster in the morning and Vredenburg in the afternoon. During his visit to Paternoster, Minister Plato will also officially hand over the Safety Kiosk to be stationed in Paternoster to improve safety in the area.

There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
