Media Alert: Minister Dan Plato to Host Religious Leaders Forum in Manenberg

On Tuesday, 10 September 2013, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, will host a large gathering of faith based leaders to facilitate safety partnerships and support youth intervention programmes.

The purpose of the forum is to bring together the religious fraternity to strengthen their role in the fight against crime and to jointly put in place plans for youth intervention programmes over the upcoming festive season to prevent our youth from getting involved in crime.

This kind of active partnership between civil society and the Department of Community Safety is part of the Western Cape Government’s "whole of society" approach towards improving safety in the province.
