Royal Visit to Red Cross Children's Hospital

Prince Edward at Red Cross Childrens HospitalPrince Edward Count of Wessex and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, visited the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital on Monday, 16 October.

They visited the Intensive Care Unit where the nature of the illnesses of the children in the unit were explained to them by Prof Andrew Argent, director of the unit.

Afterwards they were shown one of the medical wards to meet the staff and patients.

Akhona Bunu, who is three years old, presented the Countess with a posy of flowers and a beautiful smile!

The staff and patients waved the 50th hospital anniversary flags to welcome the Royal couple.
